MEYER
Moses MEYER (1835), from Neunkirchen, married Rose AUGUST, immigrated
to the United States, and lived in Syracuse, New York. They had
children: David M. (1855), Marcus (1857), Jennie (1859), Elias (1861), and
Isaac (1863).
- David M. MEYER married Cora BENEDICT
from Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Leopold and Mina nee FRIEDENTHAL, in
Seward, Nebraska, in 1885. After Cora's death shortly thereafter, David
moved to Rochester, New York, where he married Rose MOROFSKY from
Warsaw, daughter of Henry and Golde nee FROMBERG, in 1890, and had
children: Dorothy (1890) and Ruth Cora (1895). They lived in Rochester,
Omaha, and then briefly Los Angles, before David's death there in 1925.
Rose died in Detroit, Michigan, in 1952.
- Dorothy MEYER married Harry S. COHN and had children: Donald (1916) and Henry (1919). They lived in Rochester and then Detroit.
- Ruth
Cora MEYER married Ike Moke BLOCK (1885), son of Charles and Caroline
nee MOKE, in 1915, lived in Atlantic, Iowa, and had a child: Rose
Caroline (1918). Ike died in 1952 followed by Ruth in 1975.
- Marcus MEYER likely died as a child.
- Jennie
MEYER married Samuel D. FREY and had children: Sadie (1890) and
Henrietta (1893). Jennie died in 1914 followed by Samuel in 1940.
- Elias Moses MEYER married Alice STEWART, lived in Syracuse, and had children: Rose (1891). Elias died in Syracuse in 1934.
- Isaac MEYER appears to have remained single and died in 1928.
