WORMSER
Gabriel WORMSER (born 1769), Rabbi of Urspringen, Bavaria, and son of
Abraham, married Besla SCHLOSS (1771), daughter of Moses, and had
children: Jenda (1800), Abraham (1803), Jäkkla (1806), Joseph Samuel (1807), and Isaak (1809).
Gabriel died in 1825 followed by Besla in 1846.
- Joseph
Samuel WORMSER, Rabbi of Gersfeld, married Gitel Rifke JASMIN (1819)
from Theilheim, daughter of Sussman, in Gersfeld in 1841 and
had
children: Gabriel (1843), Elka (1844), Moses (1846). After Gitel died
in 1847, Joseph married Hanna TANNENWALD from Schmalnau, daughter of
Lob, in Gersfeld in 1848 and had children: Besla (1849), Sara (1853), and Leopold Gabriel (1855).
Joseph died in Gersfeld in 1892.
- Moses WORMSER, a prominent member of the Jewish community
in Zeitlofs, died there in 1920.
- Leopold Gabriel WORMSER died in 1925.
