ALSBACHER
Isaac (1771), son of Moses, married Madel (1777), daughter
of Jacob, lived in Unsleben,
and had children: Aser Löb (1796), Moses (1805), Mayer (1809),
Jachet (1812), Esther (1815), and Jetta (1823). In 1817, when
Jews in Unsleben adopted permanent surnames, the family took
the name ALSBACH (or ALSBACHER). Isaac died in Unsleben in
1835
followed by Madel in 1846.
- Aser Löb ALSBACHER married Babet WIESENGRUND (1807) from
Jettelbach,
daughter of Abraham, in Unsleben in 1825 and had children: Jetta
(1828), David (1831),
Hanna (1834), Sara (1836), Isaac (1838), Fanne (1840), Jachet (1842),
Berta (1844), and Flori (1846). Babetta died in 1871 followed by Aser
Löb, who died in Mellrichstadt in 1873.
- David ALSBACHER married Mina KREBS, daughter of Jakob and
Fanny nee HEIMANN, in Unsleben in 1874.

- Moses
ALSBACHER married Nannette SELIG (1812) from
Gleicherwiesen,
daughter of Samuel, in Unsleben in 1832. After Nannette
died in 1834, Moses
married her sister, Jette (1818), in Unsleben in 1835 and had a
daughter, Jette (1838). In 1839, they immigrated
to America, settled in Cleveland,
and had three more children: Isaac
(1840), Hannah (1845), and Matilda (1847). Jetta died in Cleveland in
1892 at age 72.
- Jetta "Julia" ALSBACHER died single in
Cleveland in 1889.
- Isaac ALSBACHER married Rebecca KLEIN, daughter of
Abraham
and Caroline nee GOLDSMITH, and had six children: Moses (1874), Harry
(1878), Sidney (1880), David Darwin (1882), Jessie (1888), and Rena
(1890). He died in Cleveland in 1903.
- Moses ALSBACHER, an insurance salesman, died single in
Cleveland in 1935.
- Harry ALSBACHER died single in Cleveland in 1926.
- Sidney ALSBACHER, a meat dealer, died single in
Cleveland
in 1943.
- David ALSBACHER, a physician, died single in Cleveland
in
1946.
- Jessie ALSBACHER died single in Cleveland in 1969.
- Rena ALSBACHER died single in Cleveland Heights in
1977.
- Hannah ALSBACHER married Nathan NATHAN from
Saginaw, Michigan, and died a widow in Cleveland in 1910.
- Matilda ALSBACHER married Hugo RUKEYSER, lived in
Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, and had children: Sarah (1874), Minnie (1880), and
Moses
(1882). Matilda died a widow in Bratenahl, Ohio, in 1917.
- Mayer ALSBACHER died as a child in Unsleben in 1818.
- Esther ALSBACHER died as a child in Unsleben in 1818.
- Jetta ALSBACHER married Isaak Löb ENGEL, son of Abraham and
Klärle, in Unsleben in 1854.
