HALPERN

The following families have not yet been connected to the other known  Halpern family from the Skole region:

Berl HALPERN married Basie and had children: Salomon (1844), Machle (1856), and Wolf.

Abraham Israel HALPERN 1 married Chaje and had children in Bolechow: Scheindel (1844), Aron Leib (1846), Michel Wolf (1848), Meschilem (1850), Nuta (1853), Riwke (1857), and Joel (1860). Abraham Israel died in Bolechow in 1891.
Gedale NESTEL married Sobel HALPERN 2 and had children: Wolf (1809), Feiga (1822), Nathan (1827).
Chaim Mordko HALPERN married Sisel LOWENTHAL (1868) from Boryslaw and had at least ten children in Skole: Sosie Beile (1884), Josef Aron (1885), Aszer (1886), Pesel (1889), Eidel Hencze (1891), Lische (1893), Simon (1895), Itte (1897), Salomon Seinwel (1901), and Nuchim (1903). Sisel immigrated to the United States with some of her children in 1921.

Research Notes

1. Naming patterns suggest, with low confidence, that a common ancestor of this Halpern family of Bolechow and this Halpern family of Skole is a person having the name Ber who died in the early 1860s. Of note, both Mozes Halpern, son of Nechemie and Taube, and Michel Wolf Halpern, son of Abraham Israel and Chaje, of approximately the same generation each had an apparent first born son in 1865 named Berl Joel (which doesn't appear to be a common double name). Hinde and Chana, both daughters of Leib, son of Nechemie and Taube, also had sons named Nechemie Ber, presumably named after their grandfather and his father.

2. Possibly a sister of Ber, discussed above.
