Hayum (1620), son of Jospe, married Reizche, daughter of Rabbi Maier from Dieburg, and together likely moved from Bensheim to Mannheim, where Hayum is first recorded in 1663. They had children, Simon (1664), Löw (1665), Nahum (1670), and Maier (1682). Jospe also had a daughter, Brendle, who married Hayum Essingen.

Research Notes

1. Rosenthal, Berthold. Die Familie Bensheim. 1934
2. Rosenthal, Berthold. Zur Geschichte der Familie Bensheim
3. According to Berthold Rosenthal in "Die Familie Bensheim" (see above), Zerle (wife of Moses Liebman Schriesheim) was a daughter of Mayer Hayum, son of Hayum Löw, who died in 1774. However, this must be incorrect. A Mannheim Obligationsprotokoll entry from 3 June 1766, refers to Moses Liebman Schriesheim's "abgelebten Schwiegervater Mayer Hayum" (deceased father-in-law Mayer Hayum). Therefore, the father of Moses Liebman's wife Zerle was deceased by 1766 and cannot be Mayer Hayum, son of Hayum Low (who died in 1774). Her father must be the other Mayer Hayum, son of Hayum Jospe, who died in 1765. The Obligationsprotokoll records are not included in Berthold Rosenthal's notes, so it's possible (probably likely) that he didn't see this entry, which would have changed his analysis.
